eInk Board
Your day, at a glance.
A quiet calendar display for your home. eInk Board runs on your Mac and turns a selected Google Calendar into a readable agenda on a reTerminal E1001 e-paper screen.
- Runs locally
- Read-only Calendar access
- You choose what appears
From calendar to kitchen counter
Set it up locally. Read it at a glance.
01 / CONNECT
Choose your calendar
Authorize Google Calendar from the local controller on your Mac. Select the calendar you want the board to show.
02 / SEE TODAY
Keep the whole day in view
Today includes all-day, timed, and completed events. Longer agendas continue across pages you can browse on the board.
03 / LOOK AHEAD
Mark what matters next
Choose specific future events for Upcoming. These marks stay in the local app and do not change your Google Calendar.
A local display, by design
Your Mac does the work.
Your board shows the agenda.
The local server retrieves calendar events and renders the screen. It sends the agenda image to your display over an encrypted connection with a device access token on your local network. Google credentials stay on the Mac.
The app uses read-only permissions. Google's event permission covers calendars you can access; eInk Board fetches events only from the calendar you select. Read how access, storage, and deletion work.
This site describes a personal household app maintained by John Ihnotic. Setup and account connection happen in the local controller, not on this website. The Mac must be running and reachable for new screen updates.
